Exotek F1 Tires

Current Exotek tire offerings:

Yellow Medium compounds for hotter track temperatures.

Red Soft compounds for cooler track temperatures.

Note: Exotek tires have a unique tire bead design. Tires are only compatible with Exotek wheels.

Tire Assembly:

  1. Remove foam from tires and inspect for defects.

2. Drill out existing holes to 3mm.

3. Prepare the tires for gluing. Clean the tire bead with a fast drying solvent that doesn't leave residue. I prefer electronics cleaner, also referred to as motor spray. This can be found at Walmart or any auto parts store.

4. Reinstall the tire foam and mount tires on wheels. I usually give the tire beads another wipe after mounting the foams to remove finger oils.

Rear tires wheel mounting is pretty straight forward as the bead/tire is symmetrical

Front tires are not symmetrical. The inner and outer tire bead diameters are different. Inside bead has a larger diameter.

You will know if the tire is mounted correctly, if the outer bead fully seats around the wheel.

Once the tires are mounted on the wheels, roll the tires with pressure applied to insure the foam and beads are properly seated.

I prefer using thin CA glue. Pull back the tire bead and add glue to the base of the bead in several locations, allowing glue to wick around the entire bead.
Rubber bands can then be applied to ensure the tire bead is held against the wheel while the glue is drying.
